Connie Noyes, a multi-disciplinary artist, views her work and her life as one in the same. She received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and MA degree in Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont California. Her current work researches the grieving process through personal and communal rituals, such as Good Mourning Café: a safe place to be sad. The café is enacted as a traveling art installation, social experiment, and community outreach program, serving comfort food. She currently lives and works in Chicago and is an artist in residence at the Hyde Park Art Center.
