CRADLE

Cradle presents the viewer with two sets of voids. The work explores the disappearance of the American chestnut trees, 3-4 billion trees disappeared from their native range by 1930 due to importing Japanese ornamental chestnut tree which carried a fungus.

PRESENCE

“Presence” (2018) is a site-specific, mixed media installation combining studies in color theory, perception, and memory.
Visually inspired by cellular growth patterns and the lush landscape of upstate New York, “Presence” is grounded in colors specific to the month of August with emphasis on a variety of greens, purples, and complementary yellows structured into triangular cells.
