danielle rives

Danielle is an artist and educator from Baltimore, MD, living and working in New Orleans, LA. Rives has been awarded the Boston University College of Fine Arts Dean’s Scholarship, the Boston University College of Fine Arts Performance Award, the Sam and Evelyn Margolis Washington DC Alumni Scholarship, and the Constantin Alajalov Award. She has exhibited work throughout Boston and Cambridge, MA in a twoperson show titled One Step Removed  at Gallery 5, and numerous group exhibitions including HOMESPUN at Bardo Gallery, AT DUSK  at the Harriet E. Richards House, the Boston University Sloane House Exhibition , and 54: The Boston University BFA Thesis Show  at 808 Gallery. Rives earned a BFA in Painting from Boston University in 2015.

 

Alongside her practice, Rives has worked extensively as a teaching artist. She served as the Community Outreach Coordinator and guest Family Playdate Teaching Artist at the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston, and has facilitated programs and taught for several other organizations including the Oxbow School in Napa, CA, the Cambridge Arts Council in Cambridge, MA, Green Art Workshop in the Greater Boston area, and Faneuil Hall Marketplace in downtown Boston, to name a few.
